Three Pushing Sims The Hardest

By Phil Kornblut
ATH David Sims (6-0 208) of Calhoun County now has offers from USC, Alabama, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Tennessee. He's also getting interest from Clemson, Notre Dame, LSU and Kentucky. Sims attended junior days at USC and Wake Forest. He's been invited to LSU for junior day. He doesn't have a favorite but says three are working the hardest for his attention. "South Carolina is recruiting me the hardest along with Tennessee and Alabama," Sims said. "I'm being recruiting mostly for defensive back. I'm not sure when I'll make a decision. I'll probably camp at Tennessee, South Carolina and Clemson this summer." Last season Sims passed for 1492 yards and 19 touchdowns and rushed for 912 yards and 11 scores. He also intercepted five passes returning three for touchdowns.

By A. Bone. Sims had a great visit to Alabama, and enjoyed talking with the coaches. He says that Alabama made a big impression, but that Georgia Tech still holds a slight lead over Alabama, Tennesse, South Carolina, Colorado, and Kentucky.

Calhoun County ATH David Sims (6-0 215) has decided on three of his official visits. Michigan, Oregon and NC State will be three of his trips, and USC likely will be a fourth. Florida wants Sims and teammate WR Alshon Jeffrey, who is committed to Southern Cal, to come in for their Friday Night Lights camp this Friday. But, he might be going to the FCA camp at USC Upstate this week, or he might attend USC's camp Friday. NC State has sparked a lot of interest from Sims, and Tennessee is making a strong push. He has a cousin who is slated to start at cornerback at UT. As for Jeffrey, his commitment to Southern Cal remains solid but he will likely take in several USC games this season.

From the UK site. Sims has a top five of Kansas, Kentucky, NC State, South Carolina and Georgia Tech, with the Jayhawks holding a slight lead over the Wildcats and Wolfpack. He wants to play early and be able to get a good education at a school with a family atmosphere.
