Virginia DE, Indiana OT are expected to visit Michigan this weekend | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press

Michigan does not have any verbal commitments from defensive end prospects so that position is still one of need in the 2009 recruiting class, making the 6-foot-4, 260-pound Hill’s visit of exceptional importance. Hill’s father scheduled the trip with Michigan assistant coach Fred Jackson and the family is supposed to be in Ann Arbor on Friday.
“I was scheduled to come up a couple weeks back, but we had to cancel so we had to work (a new visit) out,” Hill said. “I know that (Michigan) is a big tradition and they are pretty much all about football. They really haven’t picked up any (defensive ends) and could use me.”

DE Will Hill (6-4 260) out of Williamsburg, VA says that USC has offered him a scholarship. His other offers are from Virginia, Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Connecticutt. Hill is a large defensive end at 260 pounds and feels he may get even larger. "I think I could still put on 10 to 15 pounds and still play on the end. That's my position." He had 60 tackles and 8 sacks in his junior year. Hill feels he is a balanced player that plays both the run and pass very well but is aware he always needs to work on his craft. " You always have to be working to get faster, stronger, and quicker off the ball. You have to or you'll be left behind." Hill does not have any favorites but says academics is important to his decision. He would also like to go to a school that has a diverse student body. Hill mentioned that he was impressed with Maryland's diversity. He likes Michigan and their academics. Hill does want to learn about each school that has offered him. Ray Rychleski is his USC recruiter. He runs a 4.85 40.

Paterno makes run at Virginia DE
Wednesday, November 19, 2008
Posted by Bill Kurelic
Penn State didn't just host Indiana on Saturday, it was also a recruiting weekend for Joe Paterno. Penn State's legendary coach welcomed in two prospects on official visits and many others on unofficial visits.
Kicker Anthony Fera (Houston, Texas/St. Pius X) and defensive end Will Hill (Williamsburg, Va.,/Lafayette) made their official visits to Penn State over the weekend. Fera had already committed to Penn State and Paterno is hoping Hill soon does the same.
The 6-foot-4 and 260-pound Hill had an outstanding senior season, making 92 tackles in 10 games. He registered 14 sacks, 24 tackles for loss, forced six fumbles and had a defensive touchdown.
Hill leaves no doubt he is considering Paterno's Penn State scholarship offer.
"Right now I like their academics first," Hill said. "Second, I like the opportunity to play early. Like anywhere else, you have to battle, but I feel ready. At Penn State you play in front of 100,000 fans every week. And I could play for Joe Paterno, one of the greatest coaches of all time. I like the Penn State coaches."
