James led Liberty-Eylau to the 3A state title last year and ran for 1,600 yards, had another 500 yards receiving and had 19 total touchdowns. James is a threat everywhere that he is on the field and he is known to line up all over the field. He was a first team all-district selection, was the district 16-3A MVP and was a second team all-state selection.

Currently lists offers from the likes of Arkansas, Houston, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, TCU and Tulsa.

TCU, where LaMichael James visited for the Baylor game, is only three hours from James' house. "It's not too far away and I think I'd fit in pretty well there," James said. "I also really like the academics at TCU. It's a private school so you're not going to have a class with 500 people in it. I want to graduate from college because you can't play football forever..."
