Syracuse has offered scholarships to fullback/linebacker Fred Overstreet and lineman Garrett Wolfe.

“It’s the first offers for both these players, but there should be many more,” Jefferson coach Mike Fenton said. “Usually once they get the first one, the others start coming, especially in the Big East, which is so competitive.”

Football: Jefferson's Fred Overstreet receives Purdue offer

Quote:
Jefferson junior Fred Overstreet has received a scholarship offer from Purdue, Dragons coach Mike Fenton said Monday morning after a conditioning session.

Overstreet, a 6-foot-2, 210-pounder, had 43 tackles last year and also listed as a fullback with 199 receiving yards and one touchdown in six games.

Fenton said off-season workouts are going well and that Jefferson will compete in USF's seven-on-seven camp next month.
