Pete Gambardella saw signs of greatness in Dominique Easley as an underclassman. He was explosive, strong as an ox and versatile. His junior year, Easley gained consistency.

“He really took off and made a lot of plays,” Gambardella said of his standout defensive lineman, who had 51 tackles, 10 sacks, two fumble recoveries and one interception last season.

As a result, more than a dozen BCS conference schools have offered him scholarships and Easley was recently invited to participate in the Under Armour All-American Game Jan. 10, 2010 in Orlando Fla., a national showcase to be televised live on ESPN.

Defensive lineman Dominique Easley, one of New York’s top prospects, continues to add to his scholarship offer list. In mid-April, Easley had offers from Penn State, Michigan, Rutgers, Syracuse, Boston College, Texas Tech, Tennessee, Maryland, Oregon, Duke and Connecticut.

As the spring evaluation period winds down, Easley has seen a half-dozen additional schools step forward.

“I have six more offers,” Easley said. “South Florida, Georgia and Miami, those are the ones I can think of right away. I’m still open. I’m going to look at all of them.”

Scout.com: Easley Schedules Two Officials

8/27

By Matt Alkire. Dominique has set an official visit for Boston College on September 5th....a former Curtis player that plays QB at BC has told him great things about the BC education and football program. The only other official set at this time is PSU....Dominique says he is excited to visit, and that he likes PSU coach Larry Johnson. Recently Dominique has been talking with Miami (FL), PSU, Oregon, Florida, and Michigan.....would like to visit some of these other schools but isn't sure when he will do so.

By Sean Fitz. Dominique caught a 33 yard pass, had eight tackles, and 4 sacks in his teams opener. Focused on his season right now and is looking at everybody, not breaking anything down though. Dominique will take an unofficial visit to PSU for the Temple game and says he has talked with PSU coach Kermit Buggs....Georgia, Miami (FL), and Oregon have also been in contact.
