ESPNU 150 Watch List outside linebacker / safety Tony Jefferson, who was committed to Stanford at one time, spoke with affiliate Web site WeAreSC.com about the Trojans, Bruins and Gators.
"USC is prestigious, everybody knows them. I went up there for the Junior Day and I didn't expect it to be that great. It was really an eye-opener. The inside stuff of what they do is what really attracted me to them, how they bond with the kids, they do things other schools don't do. My experience there made them a school I will strongly consider."
"UCLA is close to home, I like what I see in the coaches and they have a beautiful campus."
"The other side of my family lives in Florida and I go back there all the time. I know a lot about the team and the school. I like them a lot."
Chula Vista (Calif.) Eastlake star Tony Jefferson is one of the top prospects on the West Coast. Jefferson has been a varsity starter since the mid-point of his freshman season. He has played a combination outside linebacker/strong safety-type position.
The ESPNU 150 Watch List standout made 88 tackles including four sacks during his junior season. He had 12 tackles for loss and intercepted two passes as Eastlake finished with an 8-3 record.
Jefferson, who is being recruited as a strong safety, recently committed to play in the Under Armour All-American Game after originally opting for the U.S. Army All American Game.
