South Florida '09 JUCO WR Edgard Theliar (USF Verbal)

'09 JUCO WR Edgard Theliar

Wide Receiver
El Dorado (KS) Butler County C.C.

Ht: 6-foot-3
Wt: 190 lbs
Class: 2009 (Junior College)

Bulls Report - Brett McMurphy Sports - from TBO.com Blogs

Quote:
Butler (Kan.) Community College WR Edgard Theliar, who played at Bradenton Manatee, verbally committed to USF, USFNation.com first reported.

Theliar spent last season at College of the Desert as a freshman. He had over 1,500 yards receiving and 15 TDs, College of the Desert coach Dean Dowty.

“He’s definitely a great player,” Dowty said. “We threw the ball a lot last season when he was here, it was a heck of year. They don’t throw it as much at Butler this year, so his stats won’t be as good as his freshman season, but he can definitely play at USF and in the Big East.”

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Theliar is rated by Scouts.Inc as a “possession type receiver that is a lot quicker than he is fast. He has good athletic ability, agility and body control. He has sure hands, he has excellent concentration on the ball and he catches the ball away from his body. He has good leaping ability and he will go up and snatch the ball away from the defender. Overall, Theliar has the ability to develop into a solid contributor at the Division I level.”
