Tallahassee (Fla.) Leon WR James Green told Sporting News Today that nothing has changed, despite rampant internet rumors on Tuesday that he may have changed his college decision from South Florida to South Carolina.

"It's not true," Green told SN Today. "A reporter called me and misquoted me. He asked me if I still like South Carolina, and I said 'yeah', and he made it seem like I would switch."

Green wasn't the only Florida native rumored to be changing his mind from USF to South Carolina. Green, who played high school football in Miami last year, committed to USF with his two buddies from southern Florida-Hallandale teammates QB Victor Marc and CB Ricardo Dixon. The rumors of all three changing their minds swirled all over the Gamecocks' message boards Tuesday. The three friends announced their decisions together on June 21.

When Hallandale coach Dameon Jones was reached Tuesday, he also told SN Today that it was the first he'd heard of it.

Green is the nephew of former Florida State and NFL linebacker Lamont Green, and moved to Tallahassee with his uncle for his senior season.
