Robinson is simply an electrifying athlete with elite speed. Currently excels in all three phases of game and possesses the skills to develop as a receiver or defensive back at the next level. He possesses adequate height but is put- together and well-built. Defensively, he will need some polish in his pedal and overall coverage technique, but shows the loose hips and stop-start quickness to mirror receivers off the line and the speed to turn and run hip-to-hip with some of the faster receivers in college right now. Recovery speed and burst to the football is excellent. Covers a lot of ground on defense with his great range and athleticism. Far from just a finesse cover guy, this kid will come up and smack you on perimeter run and pass support showing strong plant and drive skill. Played more of a rover position in the films we viewed and will need to be coached up with reads and fundamentals if employed at corner, but all the physical tools are there. Safety is a still a possibility with his great range, toughness and room for physical development; should provide good scheme versatility and make a great Nickel back early in his career. Natural ball skills and elite acceleration could tempt offensive coaches to get the ball in his hands as well. He can make you miss and separate quickly with his striking burst and extra gear when he reaches the second level. Route running will need polish but he possesses good hands and transitions quickly upfield after the catch. Great return skills add to his upside. Bottom line, Robinson possesses some of best top-end speed we have seen in this class, and his versatility as an athlete should see his recruiting start to heat up nationally. Great prospect who should blossom at the next level when he concentrates on one position.

Josh Robinson told affiliate Web site TheBigSpur.com, "I have offers now from Troy, Ole Miss, Florida International, Purdue, South Carolina, Tennessee, South Florida, Indiana and Kentucky. Right now, UCF and USF are standing out."
Robinson explained, "(The proximity) plus all of the potential to play my freshman year. I visited UCF for their junior day and got to check out their campus which I loved. I was around the campus at USF when I went up to Tampa for a 7-on-7 tournament, too."
Additionally, the touted junior mentioned that he'd like to take an official visit to South Carolina.

Central Florida and South Florida are the current favorites of ATH Josh Robinson (5-11 180) of Plantation, FL, and USC is working to become a factor. "I speak to (coach) Gillespie frequently," Robinson said of his USC recruiter. "He gives me updates about South Carolina and about how things are going on up there when I call him. He told me that I could play on either side of the ball, whichever one I wanted to, if I came up there, and I liked that. I already told him that I plan to visit South Carolina officially." Robinson has offers from USC, Central Florida, South Florida, Troy, Ole Miss, Florida International, Purdue, Tennessee, Indiana and Kentucky. Robinson could play receiver, cornerback or safety in college.

From the Michigan site. UCF and USF lead, but are the only schools that he has seen. Josh plans to take an official visit to Michigan and says he will commit when he feels the time is right.
