Sophomore OL Eric Mack (6-5 290) of Calhoun County is expected to be a major prospect for the class of 2010. He already has an unofficial offer from North Carolina while Clemson, USC and Kentucky are showing very early interest. Mack has been a starter since his freshman year. Another young prospect at Calhoun County is ninth grader Shamire Jeffery (6-2 185). He's averaging 16 points per game on the basketball team. This football season he will play some quarterback and some receiver. Clemson recruiter Chris Rumph, a former Calhoun County head coach, has known Jeffery for a while and is very interested in him.

Junior OL Eric Mack (6-4 323) of Calhoun County, who is expected to be one of the state's top prospects for the class of 2010, is a strong lean to USC and the Gamecocks stand a good chance of landing an early commitment from him. That commitment could come during the upcoming season. Besides the normal attractions to USC, Mack wants to stay close to his St. Matthews home because of family matters. Mack has been invited to Florida's Friday Night Lights camp this Friday. He attended a USC camp last month.

From the South Carolina site. Mack made his 6th visit this year to South Carolina for camp last Friday. He has South Carolina as his clear leader now, but an offer from FSU could change that, as he grew up a Seminole fan. He talks about possibly going to South Carolina with teammate David Sims.

2010 Eric Mack has in-state program on top
Junior ESPNU 150 Watch List offensive lineman Eric Mack currently favors South Carolina, affiliate Web site TheBigSpur.com reports.
Mack has visited both South Carolina and Clemson this fall and had a better review of the Gamecocks, "It's much louder at South Carolina. I'd rather play in South Carolina's stadium."
