Class of 2010 ESPNU 150 Watch Lister DeMarco McNeal has Georgia as "the team to beat" according to affiliate Web site TotalUGA.com.

He said, "I was going to commit to UGA right after the Alabama game even though I went in leaning toward South Carolina. They never gave up in that game, even when they were so far down and I liked that."

McNeal continued, "I can't really compare any other school's facilities to Georgia's. Georgia has the best out of all of them. The weight room and practice fields are the best I've seen. I grew up loving UGA and I like the way they play the game."

South Carolina, Auburn, Tennessee and Central Florida have also extended early offers to the 5-foot-11, 165-pound prospect.

WR Demarco McNeal (6-0 170) of College Park, GA has an offer from USC and Auburn. He is also drawing attention from Oregon, Georgia, Kentucky, NC State, Duke, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. He plans to attend junior days at Kentucky, UGA, and Georgia Tech. McNeal's recruiter at USC is Steve Spurrier Jr and he says he likes what the Gamecocks have to offer. "They're pretty good but I don't really have any favorites right now," he said. He says he just returned from a camp where he was praised for his good hands. "They told me I do a good job catching the ball away from my body," said McNeal. He also says he is a good route runner but wants to get more explosive out of his breaks and needs to gain some weight. McNeal does not have any favorites.
