Centennial junior offensive tackle David Yankey, who already has scholarship offers from Duke and South Carolina, is expecting another when he visits Florida with Knights senior defensive end Euclid Cummings on Nov. 15, Centennial coach Jeff Measor said.
Measor also believes Georgia, Auburn and Alabama will extend offers to the 6-foot-5, 250-pound Yankey. The coach said that colleges like his lineman's long arms, great feet and flexibility.
"David is very aggressive, consistent and extremely smart and able to understand complex blocking schemes easily," Measor said. "I've coached in college and have been part of the recruiting process from the other end, and David is the best offensive line prospect I've ever seen."

Centennial offensive tackle David Yankey has seven college offers, including from reigning national champion Florida, his high school coach reported Friday afternoon.
Yankey, a 6-foot-5, 250-pound junior, also has offers from Tennessee, South Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, Stanford and Eastern Carolina.
Yankey will attend a Junior Day Saturday at South Carolina.
“David has earned everything he has been offered so far,” Centennial coach Jeff Measor said in an email. “Rarely misses a workout or a snap at practice. He’s a very special young man.”

OL David Yankey (6-5 280) of Roswell, GA attended USC's junior day earlier this spring and right now he considers the Gamecocks one of his top four along with Duke, Florida and Stanford. "South Carolina's got a new offensive line coach and he's pretty cool," Yankey said of Eric Wolford. "I got to see their facilities and they've got a bunch of new stuff in. They seem to be very interested in me." Yankey said USC and Duke were making the strongest push for him right now. He also has offers from UCLA, NC State, North Carolina, Tennessee and East Carolina. Yankey also went to Duke for a junior day and is going to Georgia and Georgia Tech for a spring practice. And he said he might visit North Carolina later in the spring.

OL David Yankey (6-5 280) of Roswell, GA is making an unofficial visit to USC Thursday with his father, some teammates including LB Ben Carpenter, and some coaches. Yankey visited Georgia Tuesday and met with head coach Mark Richt. He's been to USC before and is looking forward to learning more about the school and the program. "I'm going to learn more about the academics and more about what they specialize in," Yankey said. "I've seen the stadium. I'm going to meet with the team doctor and talk about the medical field." Yankey will leave Columbia Thursday night for Durham. He plans to visit Duke and North Carolina Friday and Wake Forest Saturday. Yankey says Clemson recently offered and he's interseted in the Tigers. "I went up to a game last fall and I like the atmosphere a lot," he said. "I want to get to know them and see how it goes." Yankey also has offers from USC, Georgia, Syracuse, East Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Duke, North Carolina, NC State, UCLA and Stanford. He does not have favorites but plans to narrow his list to a top two or three after the summer.
