The state of Ohio is once again loaded with talent in 2009. Westerville Central Strong Safety Mike Giresi is a prime example. After a standout Junior campaign, Mike was invited to the Army All-American Combine in San Antonio. With his nose for the football and fearless demeanor, we are expecting to see Mike's recruiting take off soon...but before he explodes on the scene, we kept him still enough for a quick Recruiting Planet Interview.
1) What position would you prefer to play in college and why?
MG: I'm being recruited to play OLB and SS but I dont prefer one or the other I jsut lvoe to play.
2) This is your senior year...what goals have you set personally and for your team?
MG: I want to be the best leader to the underclassmen that I can be and set school records in tackles, also I would like to lead my team to the playoffs this season.
3) When your career is over, how would you like people to remember Mike Giresi?
MG: Leader, Good Teammate, and one of the Hardest Hitters You've ever seen.
4) If you were analyzing yourself on film, what would you list as your strengths and what needs some work?
MG: I believe I have a high Football IQ and I analyze things well, on the other hand I need to work on my strength and speed.
5) What are some of your favorite things to do away from football?
MG: I enjoy lifting weights, basketball and hanging out with friends.
6) Any plans for a major yet?
MG: I'm not positive yet but I think I want to major in Business.
7) College football or NFL? Who are your favorite players in each?
MG: I like College football better, the atmosphere in a college stadium is like nothing else.

8) Describe your style of play in one word.
MG: Relentless
9) What is your favorite memory in your athletic career?
MG: Being a part of an OCC League Championship team in 2006.
