Received NJCAA All-American honors. In 2007, Valentin recorded 37 receptions for 612 yards and 10 touchdowns en route to breaking every ECC receiving record. He set the Erie CC school-record with a 95-yard kickoff return versus Milford Academy. During his two-year career, he amassed 967 yards on 51 receptions for 15 touchdowns. In total, Valentin holds five career receiving records, four season records and eight individual game records. In high school, Valentin was 2004 Dragon Award as the best receiver in Nassau County.

The newest Boilermakers include the latest recruit to sign with Purdue, 6-foot-1, 205-pound Aaron Valentin, a wide receiver from Erie (N.Y.) Community College. Valentin didn't take his official campus visit until this past weekend.

Out of high school, he originally signed with C.W. Post, a Division II school in New York. But after redshirting a year he transferred to Erie.

This past season, Valentin earned second-team junior college All-American and Northeast Conference offensive player of the year honors after catching 37 passes for 612 yards and 10 touchdowns in 10 games. He also returned kickoffs and punts.

Valentin played two seasons at Erie and will have two years of eligibility with the Boilermakers.
