It didn't take Chris Quinn long to decide to become the sixth high school prospect from the state of Florida to commit to Purdue's 2009 recruiting class.

Quinn, a cornerback from Miami (Southwest High School), took his official visit this weekend and was in attendance during the Boilermakers' 48-42 victory Saturday over Michigan.

Before leaving on Sunday, he told Danny Hope, Purdue's offensive line coach who will become head coach next season, that he was verbally committing.

"My visit was awesome. I had a good time," Quinn said. "The team welcomed me like a new family member. The coaches talked to me like we've known each other, like we have a good relationship. It was like home.
