USC is the team to beat for WR Eric Williams (5-11 188) of Bradenton, FL. "I went up there for the spring game and I just had a bond with the coaches," Williams said. "I keep in touch with coach Reaves. They want me to come up there. I'm going to see what all my options look like, but they are at the top." Williams plans to attend USC's camp July 18th. He also might go to a camp at Florida State. Williams has offers from USC, Middle Tennessee State, Marshall, Troy and South Florida. He's also drawing interest from Indiana, UAB, Purdue, Florida and Florida State. Last season Williams caught 30 passes for 435 yards and four touchdowns.

Ole Miss has offered. South Carolina leads, but it's still early.

WR Eric Williams (5-11 185) of Bradenton, FL has received an offer from Ole Miss. Williams, who has USC as one of his top choices, says Ole MIss immediately becomes one of his favorites. "Their coaches call me a lot and already have made me feel like part of the family," he said. "Coach (Houston) Nutt did a good job at Arkansas already and I've been following their new quarterback. I think he's going to be real good." The Florida receiver is planning on taking at least four official visits to USC, Purdue, Marshall, and Ole Miss. All schools have offered. "Where ever I feel at home, that's where I want to be." Williams recently ran a 4.38 40 and plans on having a big senior season. Last year, he had 30 catches for 435 yards and 4 touchdowns. "My numbers are going to be way bigger this season." His other offers are from South Florida, UAB, and Middle Tennessee St. He says FSU is evaluating his film and also may offer.

WR Eric Williams (5-11 185) of Bradenton, FL says that USC is in his top five. He was not able to make the game this past weekend but did watch on television. Williams liked what he saw from the receiving corps. "At first I didn't know he (Kenny McKinley) wasn't playing and I kept looking for him. It was really big of the other guys to step up." WIlliams says he likes USC because they have so much talent on both sides of the ball. "I think they are as talented as anyone. They just need to mature and eliminate mistakes." Williams likes the coaching staff as well. "They have a lot of great coaches like David Gillespie. They are all being mentored by (Steve) Spurrier and that's someone great to learn from ." Williams plans to take an official visit to USC sometime after the season ends. He also will visit Ole Miss and Purdue. He wants to focus on his senior season right now. In two games, he has two catches for 50 yards and one touchdown. David Reaves is his USC recruiter. Williams runs a 4.4 40.
