From the Pitt site...up to 15 offers with the most recent ones from Wisconsin, Auburn, Illinois, and N.C. State. Says West Virginia, Michigan State, Boston College and South Carolina could be offering next week. Talks about where he could project and talks about his contact with the Pitt staff.

From BWI...15 written offers with most coming in the last week or two...leaders include PSU, Pitt and WVU and says distance will be a factor. Says he will definitely make an official to PSU and talks about where the staff sees him playing.

By Georgescu...talks about the combines he has been to this spring...has visited Rutgers, Penn State, Pitt, Temple, UCONN and Mayland and talks about the fact Rutgers has not offered despite his interest and offers from the likes of Penn State, Wisconsin, Auburn, Colorado and others.

"Maryland always seem to go to bowl games," safety Abdul Smith said. "And they need defensive backs, so it would be a good opportunity to play early." Another plus for the Terps is their location. Smith attends boarding school in Pennsylvania, but lives in New Jersey with his dad. His mom, however, lives in North Carolina. "Maryland is pretty much right in between my mom and my dad..."

From the Rutgers site. Abdul says that he got the Rutgers offer he wanted, and that they are near the top. He will narrow things down at the end of this month.

Abdul Smith, by way of Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, PA, is one of the top athletes on the east coast.
