When the Parkland High football team needed a big play in the postseason, it turned to Jaleel Clark.

The Trojans basketball team figures that if it worked on the gridiron, it can also work on the court.

With his team flailing away and in danger of an early exit from the District 11 Class 4A tournament on Thursday night, Clark put his buddies on his back.

He scored 23 points, including 17 straight for his team down the stretch, as Parkland rallied for a 57-52 overtime win over visiting Emmaus in a first-round game.

Quote:
''Jaleel just more or less said, 'I'm not going to let us lose, and I'm going to get every rebound, get my hands on every ball and I'm going to score,''' said Emmaus coach Andy Stephens. ''That's the type of player he is and the kind of potential he has.''

From the Missouri site...hearing the most from Missouri, Pitt, Northwestern, UConn, and Penn State.

FYI, his Rivals profile lists offers from Penn State and Missouri...

Clark should have an offer.

Rumor has it that the Allentown area coaches aren't too happy with Paterno over the Austin Scott fiasco, and that it could impact Clark's recruitment. We'll see if it sticks...

Totally not true. None of Scott's coaches are currently coaching at Allentown Parkland. In fact, Parkland's current staff is very close with Joe and has sent numerous players to State College over the years.

Well that is good to hear. I wouldn't be surprised if those residents in Allentown aren't all that thrilled with what happened with their RB prodigy. No worries at this point, I think we are in good position with Clark. First school to offer him, we lose three senior WRs, our offense should be more productive under Clark/Devlin than Morelli. I wish Scott well [obviously], and believe him when he says there isn't any negativity between him and Joe [maybe some bitterness] and that he loves Penn State. Jaleel will make his own decision, hopefully he gets a glimpse of what Devlin is capable of and realizes that Devlin will have two years left if he were to choose Penn State.

Really? Which players on the team did these coaches send to PSU?

From BWI...says PSU is at the top of his list after his visit. Will likely visit Pitt in May and Missouri in June. Minnesota and UConn are his most recent offers.

Penn State lock. My alma mater is a PSU pipeline (not just football) and it will continue here.

PSU Pipeline

Several players from Allentown Central Catholic. Cerrameli, Senneca, a TE, and more.

Hardly a PSU lock anymore. It appears staff might be cooling on Clark based on his poor showing at the NIKE Camp. Me thinks Kuntz offer is in replace of Clark.

I'll be extremely pissed off if Jaleel Clark isn't a part of this '09 class. This Kuntz kid is going to end up at ND, BC or someplace like that not Penn State. Is Jaleel still attending the upcoming camp?

Sigh...I'd take Jaleel over Christian Kuntz (10x out of 10) but Christian was a camp offer so apparently the coaches disagree. I think we'll regret not going after him hard because even if he doesn't have the greatest speed or run the best routes he has great hands and is a quality athlete. Could have had a
