If we offer by end of spring evaluation period, I like our chances.

Yeah -- I can't recall the last Delaware kid who PSU recruited but went somewhere else.

If he shows up at PSU's Spring Game after going to Junior Day recently, he has tipped his hand in my book as to where he is leaning.

Wasn't there a box of rocks from delaware that PSU was recruiting ... didn't have grades - Mackey I believe was his name. Don't know where he went. But, Delaware has been very good to PSU recently.

Right you are! I forgot about him because it was a real surprise that he went anywhere except prep school, so it wasn't like he decided not to accept PSU's offer. I'm too lazy to look up his profile to see where he ended up, but I've got a vague memory of the Vols or an ACC school being the "winner" . . . if he can maintain eligibility.

Hopefully this works out in our favor. We desperately need Brown in this class.

Mackey ended up at Hargrave for the end of his senior year of HS. Not sure if he's even qualified yet. He committed to Va Tech.

USC has joined the long list of offers for WR Justin Brown (6-4 210) of Wilmington, DE. He also has offers from Penn State, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Iowa, Rutgers, LSU, Oregon, Purdue, Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Brown went to junior day at Penn State, Rutgers and Maryland. He's involved with baseball right now and won't make any more visits until the summer. He has family in Henderson, NC and plans to visit the Carolinas schools this summer. "I'm very interested in South Carolina," Brown said. "They run the spread offense and I like that a whole lot." Brown also plays safety but said he will be a receiver in college. He does not have any favorites. Last season he caught 19 passes for 556 yards and 8 touchdowns. On defense, Brown totaled 40 tackles and 3 interceptions.
