3/2 Bashir was at the Rivals Five Star Academy on Saturday. He's hearing the most from Wisconsin, Clemson, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Indiana. Wisconsin and Clemson are his two favorites, followed by Stanford. Rivals $ 3/4 From OhioVarsity...hearing from Wisconsin, Clemson, Notre Dame, Stanford and Indiana. Visited Northwestern recently and going to a junior day at Cincinnati. Started getting mail from PSU.

5/25 From the Cincinatti site...Toledo is still only offer. Indiana, Wisconsin, North Carolina State, Boston College, Purdue, and Cincinnati are interested. Talks about Cincinatti and his mom.

6/4/08 Updates Bashir's recruitment. Toledo still his only offer, but says one from Eastern Michigan is on the way. Says he definitely plans on camping at Wisconsin, where Coach Doeren sees him as a linebacker. Also plans on camping at Indiana and Purdue.

"I didn't think it was a big deal, the de-commitment," former Gopher verbal David Gilreath said. "I think this was the best decision of my life." "(The University of Minnesota) didn't really compare," UW Kicker Taylor Mehlhaff said. "I loved the atmosphere here. It was pretty easy to cross (Minnesota) off the list. I wanted to play at the highest level possible but I also wanted to have that college atmosphere."

6/29/08 Bashir recently camped at Wisconsin. He thought he performed well, but was informed that he will have to wait for others to decide before receiving an offer from UW. Was offered by Marshall.
