Am I the only one who thinks it is idiotic to name an MVP at a combine?
I don't mean to knock the kid at all -- I'd be thrilled if he ends up at PSU. But naming an MVP for an event where they don't actually play just seems excessive even in the hype machine that is the recruiting industry.

ILB Dan Mason (Pittsburgh/Penn Hills)
Mason is on the shorter side but packs a punch on a thick, strong frame. He's an explosive athlete capable of being an inside or outside guy. He may grow into a tackle-to-tackle run plugger with his body and strength.

From the Pitt site...Boston College has offered, joining Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia and Toledo. Those are also his top five schools. Wants to see the schools that offered this summer and possibly Virginia Tech.
