Beaver Falls running back-defensive back Todd Thomas picked up two more scholarship offers this week from Penn State and West Virginia.
Pitt had offered Thomas a scholarship early in the season. Thomas will play for Beaver Falls in the WPIAL Class AA championship this afternoon.

Watched him play, Jeanette shut him down. He did have a KO return though. 99.9999999999% sure his offer is a verbal.

PSU seems to be in good shape. We need the help at skill positions.

From the Pitt site...talks about a lot of college coaches thinking he was in the '08 class. Has picked up offers from Boston College, Marshall, Akron, Miami (FL) and Colorado. Top 5 includes Michigan, Penn State, Miami (FL), Boston College and West Virginia (all offered) and is also considering Pitt.

I would hope our staff will point out UM will be passing it 15 times a game.

Apparently concerned with the coaching situation. I wonder if it is his concern or if someone else is telling him that it SHOULD be a concern for him [not implying anything, just curious].

RichRod is pointing it out to him each time he checks in with Thomas. The kid was in the bag a month ago and now all the sudden likes Michigan more. Go figure. If this doesn't speak volumes about recruiting hurting because of Paterno's arrogance/selfishness, I have no idea what does.

Absolutely. Here's a prime example of a kid who would be in the bag, so to speak, were PSU to have a succession plan...

bplion is reporting that grades could be an issue here, FWIW.
We HAVE to get 2 of these 3: J. Brown, J. Clark and T. Thomas...in addition to T. Austin.

I would offer Brandon Scott and CJ Crawford as a WR right now just in case. Heard the grade thing as well. Sort of strange though ... offer a kid with a reported 1.82 gpa in Thomas, but tell guys like Jordan Hill, Jeremiah Young, Andre Civil and CJ Crawford they are waiting for SAT scores.

UB - very little about Penn State's recruiting efforts make sense thusfar. Just par for the course, IMO.
