Gee, I dunno -- unless he listed them as some sort of joke then he had them above 30 or so other offers for some reason, so there's the possibility he could surprise and pick 'em just like Shrive surprised everyone.

Of course, if he keep them on his list now, then I'll think it IS some sort of joke.

Well as far as I am concerned UNM has just as much of a chance at Tate Forcier as Penn State does at this point. Penn State, Michigan, Oregon, ARIZONA STATE & New Mexico. I had thought Oregon & Arizona State had both gotten numerous QBs last year as well as this year, with Oregon even taking JUCO QBs. Pretty much goes against his reasoning with regard to eliminating Florida & Washington State.

Really makes no sense either, because he says that Kevin Newsome is a great QB and IF Kevin chose Penn State he wouldn't mind competing with him IF he (tate) were to commit to Penn State. My only hope at this point is the depth chart, atmosphere, Eric Shrive and the prospects of having an '09 QB/WR tandem of Tate Forcier & Justin Brown.

That might entice Forcier a bit but I don't know, he may just knock out these visits in back-to-back weeks to UM/Penn State, choose UM and be done with it even though he has things scheduled further ahead. Any talk of Penn State leading, or spin from a media savvy Forcier Camp I'm not buying, at least not until he commits, remains committed and attends the Illinois game after an official for Penn State/Oregon State, signs a NLOID and puts on a Penn State uniform. When he does ALL of that I'll believe Penn State has gotten him over UM.

I'm fairly certain that he has a bunch of friends/teammates on NMSU and is keeping them on the list for the same reason Steve Spurrier votes annually for Duke in the 25th spot in the initial USA Today poll.
