My guess is UB is spot on -- if Lippert shows up at Nike and puts on a show, the coaches may figure that he'll do as well as others on their board and he'll get his offer.

Then again, some other kid may show up and do even better -- last May nobody here had even heard of Jack Crawford, and we know a lot more about him now.

From BWI...talks about his experience on Friday at the PSU camp where he was hoping to earn an offer. Should hear something by Wednesday from the PSU staff. Says he was fairly certain he would commit to Pitt but may take some time if PSU offers.

Seems funny it will take until Wednesday to hear from the staff -- Gress and Clark didn't have to wait for their camp offers. I'd guess he'll end up committing to Pitt.

Well are we going to offer Gilliam? Why even bother to wait, he visited Penn State with his mom and he attends Milton Hersey (Abe Koroma)...kid has a ridiculous vertical. We should offer one of those two and hope that they jump on the offer because Sean Stanley may be a DE or he may be a DT and I think the same could probably be said for Gilliam or Lippert but I'd rather see them at DE if either are a part of this class.

Should offer Gilliam as a DE and Arthur Fontaine as a TE. Forget Lippert.

From the Pitt site. Lippert says that if Penn State isn't interested with him, he shouldn't be interested with them, but that he doesn't know what to think right now. He says that he was never set on playing at Penn State alone,and will make his choice in the next week or so.

HAH...interesting. Kid is a life-long Penn State fan and I'm not sure why he is freaking out, possibly wanted an early offer when everything was hot with Shrive/Thomas/Morris/Stanley, etc?

There has been many instances of contact on both sides but I think Penn State slowplayed him for sure because he is so close, probably figured they could wait him out and get him just as easily late as they could early on. Who knows what is going to happen, is it confirmed that he got his written offer today or did the coaches tell him to wait?

Kid obviously wants a PSU offer, but he isn't getting one. He needs to take the high road and verbal to Pitt. If he wants to wait for PSU, it will be a long wait.
