It really is ridiculous. I have a hard time believing he'll end up at PSU (Brandon Ware was around 6'4 370 + as a TR FR but he came right out of Harrisburg HS as an '09 signee and has already dropped 35 or more pounds - may even play as a RS FR this season), if he is truly 370 as a JUCO he'd probably need to lose 30-40 pounds in his first of 3 years to play 2 in order to ever even see the field.
I put it up though because: the writer of the article was on the PSU site and said he claimed it was a written offer...our PSU guy said he indeed has an offer and that academics were a concern which may be the reason the offer took a while, he also said James was back at Baltimore City College HS at some point and LJ was there because of '10 MD WR (PSU commit) Adrian Coxson.
Never know.

I'd imagine 30-40 pounds can come off rather quickly in a major D-1 S&C program if you weigh 370.

By Sean Fitz. James thinks he is taking an official to Ole Miss for the Alabama...doesn't have other visits set yet but wants to also visit PSU, Mississippi State, Alabama, and Tennessee. Says he likes Ole Miss a whole lot and that they are his leader, if he really likes everything when he visits that is where he will be going. Talks about his contact with PSU and says PSU coach Larry Johnson wants him up for a visit...wants him to make an immediate impact at PSU even if he wasn't a starter.

By Neal McCready. James will be visiting Mississippi State for their opener against Jackson State...also visiting Alabama later this month, PSU for the Ohio State game, and Ole Miss for the Alabama game. Talks once again about Ole Miss being in the lead...has done some research on them, likes the coaches, likes the facilities, and feels he can help them. Talks about his Baltimore ties....says he tells his coaches all the time that it could be a big factor, that PSU is closer to home and has always had a good program.

9/10/09
By Yancy Porter. James returned to the field from minor injury opening week and had 4 solo tackles as well as 3 assisted tackles. Has the October 10th official visit set for Mississippi, November 7th for PSU, and has been talking with Mississippi State about the Florida game on October 24th but he isn't sure about that one...James is also still looking at Alabama and Tennessee. Talks extensively about his contact with Mississippi and Mississippi State coaches.

Joe Paterno and his staff are using all avenues to land the best possible 2010 recruiting class. Their efforts include the junior college ranks.
Larry Johnson is pursuing Gulf Coast Community College (Miss.) defensive tackle James Carmon. The 6-foot-7 and 360-pound Carmon is from Baltimore (Md.) City College, the same high school as Penn State wide receiver commitment Adrian Coxson, who Johnson has also recruited.
Carmon is in his second year at Gulf Coast CC. This season, Gulf Coast is 3-1 and Carmon has played well.
Carmon has scheduled two official visits and one of them is to Penn State.
“My first official visit is Ole Miss Oct. 10 when they play Alabama,” Carmon said. “Then I have Penn State (Nov. 7) when they play Ohio State.”
Carmon is planning to take all five official visits before he selects a college.
