Davis Leaves Clemson With An Offer > Palmetto Sports Recruiting News (3/10)

Quote:
OL Kalon Davis (6-5 350) of Chester attended Clemson's junior day last Saturday and left Tigertown with an offer in hand. "The offer means a lot," Davis said. "It lets me know that people do consider me a good prospect and would like me to come play for them. They toured me around campus and showd me some of the things like the stadium, The Rock and The Hill. I got to know the coaches a little bit." Davis also has offers from Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, NC State and Mississippi State. He's also getting interest from USC, Maryland, Alabama, Tennessee, Virginia and Georgia Tech. Davis said he wants to go to spring practices and/or games at Clemson, Alabama, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Maryland and Wake Forest. And he said USC wants him to come in for an offensive lineman camp. Davis said he has a top five of Clemson, USC, Alabama, Tennessee and Wake Forest with no leader.
Clemson coaches check on Davis > Palmetto Sports Recruiting News (5/12)

Quote:
Clemson has targeted OL Kalon Davis (6-5 335) of Chester and Friday Tiger recruiters Brad Scott and Jeff Scott stopped by Chester High to continue their evaluation of the big tackle. "They've already proven they want me to come and be a part of their team," said Davis who holds a Clemson offer. "They think I have a chance to be a great player." Coaches from Alabama and Wake Forest were also by the school last week to look in on Davis who also has offers from Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, NC State, Mississippi State, South Florida and Wisconsin. Last week Davis participated in the Nike combine at Georgia and the Under Armour combine in Atlanta. "I felt really good about my performance Sunday (in Atlanta)," Davis said. "I felt I was the best offensive lineman there by the end of the day." Davis also is drawing interest from Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. He plans to camp this summer at Alabama and Tennessee. Davis is not claiming a favorite.

By Jordan Goetzke. Kalon says his three leaders are Alabama, Clemson, and Tennessee. Talks about his interest in Wisconsin and says Wisconsin runs the ball, has a good reputation with producing Olineman, but he wants to learn more about the program, facilities, and depth chart.

Skeptical that this cat (um, "Tiger") had a written offer from PSU.
