Allendale-Fairfax RB Jerrell Priester (5-10 185) was offered earlier this week by Notre Dame according to his coach Wayne Farmer. "They are very serious about the offer," Farmer said adding that the Irish like Priester as a slot receiver because of his outstanding speed. Priester also has offers from East Carolina and SC State. He's also getting interest from Penn State, Alabama and Tennessee. Recruiters from those schools are expected to visit Allendale over the next couple of weeks. Georgia Tech has been by the school and is also showing interest. USC and Clemson are not showing much interest in Priester at this point according to Farmer.

Priester nearly pulls the trigger > Palmetto Sports Recruiting News

ATH Jerrell Priester (5-10 185) of Allendale-Fairfax says he nearly made a commitment last weekend. "I was going to decide last week but my mom and coach said no," Priester said. "I would have committed to Vanderbilt." The Commodores have been recruiter Priester as a cornerback. "I just feel like they are doing a good job recruiting me and I have a good relationship with the coaches." It certainly appears Priester's best options are outside the state. "Clemson thinks I'm too small so I don't think they are interested," Priester said. "And I haven't talked to South Carolina since camp." Priester has offers from Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, East Carolina, Kentucky, Duke and SC State. He says Georgia and Virginia Tech appear close to offering. Priester has camped at Clemson, USC, Georgia and Duke. He plans to take unofficial visits to Notre Dame and Vanderbilt this month.
