Yeah, it seems like almost every O-lineman they're recruiting is an OT -- I can't figure out if it is intentional or if there is just a bunch of good OTs around so they're trying to grab them if they can.

By Don Callahan. Khamrone has visited Boston College, Connecticut, Maryland, PSU, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and UNC...will be visiting PSU again this weekend for the Blue-White spring game. He currently has offers from UNC, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, NC State, PSU, Virginia, and Virginia Tech...talks extensively about UNC, having previously lived in Chapel Hill and being a UNC fan, as well as how he hurt his knee during a pickup BBall game.

Lake Braddock OL Khamrone Kolb - Kolb's current top five includes Connecticut, North Carolina, Penn State, Virginia and Virginia Tech, though U-Conn appears to be behind the other four. Kolb, who has not eliminated any school, plans to visit each of the aforementioned programs this summer. He came away very impressed by UVa last weekend. UVa helped itself as a result. Kolb will next head to Penn State this week and will definitely go to UNC and Virginia Tech as well.

I was surprised how well they're doing with Havenstein too.

That's news to me that Kolb is heading to PSU this weekend.

As for Havenstein, I think his early interest has faded away...and vice-versa. If we do take one more OL, we're going to be very picky about who it is.

Offensive lineman Khamrone Kolb from Burke (Va.) Lake Braddock leaves no doubt about his interest in Penn State. In the end, his decision seems likely to come down to staying close to home or becoming a Nittany Lion.

Kolb has 10 scholarship offers, but has cut his list in half.

“I’ve narrowed it down to Penn State, Virginia, North Carolina, Connecticut and Virginia Tech,” Kolb said. “I’m going to try to narrow it down to at least three by the end of the summer. Then I will make official visits to those three, probably during the football season. Penn State and Virginia will be in my final three.”

Kurelic’s Comment: The more times Kolb gets to Penn State the better. He will make at least two more trips, an unofficial visit this month and an official visit at some point. I like the Nittany Lions’ chances at this point.

The Nittany Lions have commitments from three offensive linemen to this point. They would like to add at least one more they continue to pursue Khamrone Kolb from Burke (Va.) Lake Braddock.

The 6-foot-6 and 300-pound Kolb has been a varsity starter since the beginning of his sophomore season and has played every position on the offensive line except center. Kolb has also played tight end, but will play on the offensive line at the next level, likely as a tackle.

Kolb has 10 scholarship offers. In early July he told Nittany Network he had cut his list down to five: Penn State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Connecticut.

Kurelic’s Comment: The Nittany Lions are on a recruiting roll and Kolb is another one of those prospects Joe Paterno has a very realistic shot at landing. Expect Penn State and Virginia to be two of Kolb’s final three choices.
