Decent-looking prospect whose brother may be even bigger and better than he is.
Word is that Maryland is the early leader, so we'll see if the offer changes anything.

Scout.com: Big Maryland OT Lands OSU Offer
5/29
By Adam Jardy. Ohio State has offered. Arie talks about speaking with Jim Tressel and seeing the Ohio State coaches at his school...says that while tOSU has only recruited him for about two weeks, it doesn't hurt because he hasn't really thought much about his collegiate choice...education, his relationship with the coaching staff, and playing time will be factors.

Lions eyeing another OL -
6/5
Quote:
By Bill Kurelic, NN Recruiting Analyst
bkurelic@nittanynetwork.com
June 5, 2009
The Nittany Lions have landed commitments from the top three offensive line prospects in the state of Pennsylvania: Under Armour All-American Miles Dieffenbach, Tom Ricketts and Luke Graham.
They would love to add Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha and ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect Arie Kouandjio to that threesome. The 6-foot-5 and 320-pound Kouandjio was a varsity starter at both offensive right tackle and defensive end his freshman year at Beltsville (Md.) High Point. Kouandjio transferred to DeMatha and played on the defensive line his sophomore year.
Kouandjio played offensive left tackle his junior season and established himself as an elite line prospect. He has a collection of three-dozen scholarship offers to prove it.
The list includes Penn State, Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, Cal, Notre Dame, Michigan, Maryland, Boston College, West Virginia, Connecticut and North Carolina.

By Mike Farrell. In no particular order, Arie has a top eight of Alabama, California, Miami (FL), Maryland, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Wake Forest. The hardest part about cutting his list to eight was telling coaches, other then that getting it down to eight wasn't too hard. Has visited California, Miami (FL), and Maryland but not the other five...has yet to figure out official visits but that will be next. Talks extensively about the schools on his list.

He never had interest in PSU. Not shocking. Schools offered him to get a chance at his brother, who is much better.
