Defensive end C.J. Olaniyan from Warren (Mich.) Mott hopes to trim his list of two dozen scholarship offers by the end of August.
“By the end of the month I’ll narrow it down,” Olaniyan said. “I’ll probably narrow it down to five.”
Olaniyan has visited Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Ohio State, Iowa and Kentucky. All but the Buckeyes have offered a scholarship. Among the other schools Olaniyan has offers from are Wisconsin, Virginia Tech and Maryland.
Olaniyan speaks very highly of the Nittany Lions.

Kurelic’s Comment: While Olaniyan certainly could end up at Michigan or Michigan State, he has never shown any strong inclination towards staying in-state. I think the Nittany Lions have as good a shot as anyone.

Defensive end C.J. Olaniyan (Warren, Mich./Mott) is close to naming his top choices. Olaniyan has 26 scholarship offers including, one from Penn State. Within the next week we should have a better idea where the Nittany Lions stand.
“I haven’t done that yet,” Olaniyan said. “But by the end of the month at the latest, I should have a top five or six.”
Olaniyan has scholarship offers from Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Wisconsin, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Maryland and Kentucky, among others. He has visited Penn State, Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, Kentucky and Cincinnati.

Kurelic’s Comment: The Nittany Lions are still in pursuit of several defensive linemen including Olaniyan, Sharrif Floyd and Dominique Easley. Paterno has a legitimate shot at all of them, though predicting where any of the three are going to end up is almost impossible at this point.

Defensive end C.J. Olaniyan (Warren, Mich./Mott) said early last week that he was close to naming his top five or six choices and would do so by the end of the week.
Olaniyan now says he has decided on his finalists, but is not quite ready to release it.
“I have it, but my coach has to send an e-mail to all the schools so I have to wait until he does that,” Olaniyan said. “These will probably be my final six or seven schools. He’ll send the e-mail out next week.”
Olaniyan has 26 scholarship offers, including one from Penn State. His other offers include Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Wisconsin, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Maryland and Kentucky.

Of course, no recruiting verbal would be complete without the "We pulled his offer/didn't really want him/told him to buzz off" trifecta.

Ha! Well, maybe Dantonio did pull his offer like he did with Bolden when it became clear Sparty wasn't going to get him. I'm not sure what Dantonio accomplishes with this when a kid has a stack of other offers available, but I hope he keeps on doing it.

Yeah, becoming a theme with Sparty. With Bolden, it was "His Dad demanded a job so we pulled the ship".

D'antonio is just making nice nice (playing politics) to his fan base (big boosters.) When a million or two yearly salary is at stake there is never enough brown nosing!
