After attending a Michigan spring practice on Thursday and the Wolverines’ spring game on Saturday, defensive end C.J. Olaniyan from Warren (Mich.) Mott is getting ready for another busy week.
“I’m going to a Michigan State practice (today),” Olaniyan said. “I go to Ohio State on Saturday, Cincinnati on Sunday and Kentucky on Monday.”
The 6-foot-4 and 230-pound Olaniyan is one of the top prospects in Michigan. He has been a varsity starter at defensive end and as a flex receiver since the beginning of his sophomore season.
Olaniyan made 85 tackles including nine sacks last season. He had 14 tackles for loss. On the other side of the ball Olaniyan caught 33 passes and scored three times.
Olaniyan has scholarship offers from Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, Oregon, Kentucky, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Central Michigan.

Scout.com: Looking to Play Early
4/17
By Allen Wallace. Will be visiting Ohio State, Cincinnati, and Kentucky this Saturday through Tuesday. Discusses UM, MSU, PSU, Iowa, and USC...C.J. was quite impressed with both Michigan and PSU's academic support, and cites early playing time/depth charts as well as the relationship with coaches as other factors in his recruitment...plans to take his time.

Warren (Mich.) Mott defensive end C.J. Olaniyan, who has visited and holds a scholarship offer from Penn State, was in Columbus Saturday for Ohio State’s jersey scrimmage.
"They had a little practice scrimmage," Olaniyan said. "It was alright. When they showed me around it was kind of like Michigan State, but a little bigger."
Olaniyan visited Michigan State on Tuesday and attended Michigan's spring game last Saturday. In late March, he visited Penn State.

Scout.com: Visitors Flocking to See Olaniyan
4/30
By Sam Webb. CJ has had visitors from Michigan and Kentucky this past week, and is expecting Oklahoma this upcoming week. CJ likes Michigan coach Rod Smith and says that after watching some 7-on-7 he mentioned possibly having to put CJ on offense. Will try to visit Wisconsin and Indiana, that may be it for visits right now, until summer.

Olaniyan still likes Lions -
7/15

Warren (Mich.) Mott defensive end C.J. Olaniyan, who has a scholarship offer on the table from the Nittany Lions, visited Penn State in March. Four months later Olaniyan, remains interested in PSU.
“They are pretty high on my list,” Olaniyan said. “I like them a lot.”
Olaniyan visited Penn State in late March, met a number of the Nittany Lions’ coaches and was given a tour.

Kurelic’s Comment: Olaniyan has never seemed overly excited about the two Big Ten in-state schools, Michigan and Michigan State. The Nittany Lions appear to have as good a shot as anyone.

I admit I'm a stargazer but, even moreso, I like to look at a guy's offer list. C.J.'s list is impressive. I can't understand why PSU doesn't have a real stud DE or two seriously considering them. Evans and Maybin from '06 left early,
they have Latham from '07, Crawford from '08 (I hope he pans out to be as good as they say) and Stanley from last year and only Baublitz from this year. On top of a depth chart that could offer some promise, you've got coach Johnson as your position coach. If they don't get any more DEs in this class, they've got to target some big timers next year. Ok, I'm officially getting ahead of myself.

Scout.com: Is the South Calling Olaniyan?
8/8
By Sam Webb. CJ has yet to trim his list...coaches he has talked with most recently have been from Missouri and PSU. CJ talks about his visit to Missouri with teammate Martez Kelly and whether that could be a factor during his recruitment...wants to hear more from UGA and GT...also interested in seeing about Alabama, Florida, Texas, and LSU.

Scout.com: Recruiting: OSU Targets Defensive End
8/9
By Terry Tush. CJ initiated contact recently with Oklahoma State and Oklahoma State has decided to offer. CJ talks about his interest in Oklahoma State and says he will try to make a visit...OSU has stressed their need for him as a player...CJ says distance will not be a factor. No favorites and wants to decide on his five official visits in the next month.
