ESPN.com - North Carolina recruiting notes

Tigers in front for McCain Though they have yet to offer him a scholarship, one school has jumped out in front for tight end/defensive end Chris McCain (Greensboro, N.C./Northeast Guilford). My top five in order is Clemson, California, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Penn State, he said. The Tar Heels and Demon Deacons, along with Virginia Tech, South Carolina and East Carolina have offered McCain a scholarship thus far. He plans to visit Clemson this weekend for the Tigers Junior Day event.

By Mike Farrell. Chris still has the same top three of Maryland, Oregon, and California....talks about the coaches he likes at each school. Has changed high schools and talks about his new coaches, competing at the FBU Top Gun camp, and says a recruiting decision could come as early as this week.

By AJ Jacobson. Chris has committed to Oregon and cites the relationship amongst players, as well as the relationship between players and coaches.....also liked the academics. Recruited as a WLB.

funny to see him commit to Oregon after saying this on 5/22 above: "says California fell out because of distance concerns".

Figures that Oregon finally gets a top talent from the east coast as their season is about to go down the drain.
