Personally, I believe Penn State is the team to beat for the following Rivals.com-rated four-star prospects: defensive lineman Sharrif Floyd from George Washington High School in Philadelphia.

Class of 2010
Pennsylvania’s Top Seniors
By Chris Dokish
For those of you who follow our yearly rankings, you may have noticed that the Top 50 has become the Top 25. The reason for this is because of the lack of depth in the state. It's become more difficult to find 50 prospects yearly that are at a high-major level. For that reason, we have decided to just report on the very best the state has to offer.
While the depth is not what it used to be in a state that has seen its population plunge over the last few decades, there is still some excellent talent out there. You may notice, however, that there are really only two prospects who received attention from the high level programs around the country. This is a significant drop from past seasons.
Lastly, as we always try to do, we do our best to leave out "scout talk," hyperbole and biases. We try to speak as bluntly, and accurately, as possible, while still remembering that these are high school kids we're talking about.

1. Shariff Floyd, George Washington HS (Philadelphia) DT- Kids in Philadelphia get overlooked often in the football recruiting world, but not when they are this good. A brutally strong 6'3" 295 pound interior lineman, Floyd also has great agility and tenacity. He has also shown great techniques as he spent the spring dominating every combine he attended. He comes from a rough neighborhood, but showed great character by raising funds to pay for his own way on the combine circuit. His offers include Pitt, Penn State, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, West Virginia, Boston College, UCLA, North Carolina, South Carolina and Rutgers. Bottom line - as a kid from the inner city of Philadelphia, he is still underrated around the country. He has all the skills to be a dominating college player and is the only prospect in the state that could physically play college football tomorrow.

Other big names will also be in attendance. Joining Ferguson along the defensive line, Rivals100 defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd from Philadelphia (Pa.) George Washington will compete. Floyd is another prospect who hasn't backed down from any camp. Ranked as the No. 4 prospect at his position, Floyd has offers from major programs like Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Penn State and others.
"I wasn't able to work out at this event last year (injury) even though I was on hand to watch it," said Floyd. "This is the one event I really wanted to be at this year so I'm excited to compete. Last year there were so many top players there it was hard to sit and watch. I won't be watching this year."

Stanford is feeling peachy - ESPN
"Audibles
Penn State and North Carolina are the two strongest players for defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington) at the moment. If he attends Florida's Friday Night Lights Camp later this month, the Gators could make a strong push."

The one constant for Floyd is PSU leading. However, he keeps reshuffling his favorites after every visit. Newest top 3 is PSU, RU, and BC.

It was from his last update on Rivals. The runners up are changing all the time. There were those Florida rumors too.

Sharrif Floyd - College Football Recruiting 2010 - ESPN
Here's a link with a Floyd update. Under the "six teams in good shape" blurb, he mentions PSU, Rutgers, UNC, BC, OSU and Michigan. Specifically has comments about BC and PSU.

ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington) has offers from all around the country and is one of the top prospects at his position for the 2010 recruiting cycle. He spoke with Nittany Network affiliate TheBigSpur.com's Josh Low about the current state of his recruitment, including where Penn State and a few other programs like South Carolina, Rutgers, Boston College and North Carolina, stand.
Floyd has more than 30 offers, including ones from South Carolina, North Carolina, Penn State, Florida, Boston College, West Virginia, Rutgers, Miami, UCLA, and others. He visited South Carolina unofficially during the spring and has developed a good relationship with Gamecocks quarterback coach G.A. Mangus.

Sounds like he can't find a ride...shame it's against NCAA rules or I'd take him up.
Oh well...hopefully he'll have a great official visit when the time comes.

Scout.com: Floyd Still Feeling the Blue
7/13
By Eugene Hankerson. Will be visiting PSU this weekend, and then follow it up the 22nd-26th with a trip to Florida....while in Florida Sharrif will visit Florida, Florida State, Miami (FL), and FIU...will also attend the Top Gun camp in Florida at the end of July. Sharrif says PSU has everything he is looking for and that it is one of the few schools he feels comfortable at....RU and BC are also there. Says Michigan is in it, talks about UM, the Stokes family, and when a potential Michigan visit could happen.

Defensive lineman Sharrif Floyd (6-3, 311) of Philadelphia made an appearance at USC’s camp Saturday. He came to Columbia after visiting several schools in Florida. It was Floyd’s second visit to USC, and the Gamecocks appear to be in strong shape for an official visit from him in the fall.
