Me thinks, as long as that scumbag head coach from Gainesville doesn't try saying he grew up in Maryland (like he told Fortt he grew up in Conn - another lie) and doesn't fall into Meyer's trap of bs, PSU wins this one.

Not sure if you're trying to say he doesn't have an offer, but it's pretty obvious he does if he talked to the coaches on the phone. He's been saying all along that he wanted a Florida offer, now he has it, usually that's a sign of things. I think Bryant Johnson helps you guys a LOT, but it's hard to beat out Florida.
BTW, I wasn't saying it was just a dagger for PSU, any school that is recruiting him. I was wondering how long it would take for him to get some big time offers.

Scout.com: Coxson Hears From National Champs
3/17
By John Wallpher. Adrian had talked with UF head coach Urban Meyer, and his high school head coach has told him that he has an offer from UF. Adrian now has seven offers and says the UF offer is exciting because it means he can play anywhere...will attend the PSU spring Blue-White game, and try to get to UF for a spring practice.

I'm not overly concerned...obviously UF is a big offer and their on-field success this decade speaks for itself, but I FEEL like there are many advantages already in PSU's favor; familiarity with PSU [multiple visits - upcoming visit for B/W game], mom really likes PSU/Joe, KN/PJ at QB for PSU, Bryant Johnson, and so on.
I know you'll say, 'well, you are talking about QBs and UF can get big time QBs'...but Bob L. has pretty much said that '10 PSU QB commit Paul Jones will be a 5* recruit, if not in the latest update, then the one that follows...and he is already a rivals 100 prospect on TOS.
I'd say we have one of the top QBs in the nation for '10 locked up and I'm not sure anyone can do much better, UF QB recruiting hasn't impressed me all that much. I know they got the kid from CT this past year, and I believe he had a verbal offer from PSU and quite a few other offers, but I haven't been wowed by their QB recruiting.

BlueWhiteIllustrated.com - Rivals.com Five-Star Showdown Hot 11
Quote:
WR Adrian Coxson, 6-2, 194, Baltimore (Md.) City College
ASSETS: Coxson has very good size including thick legs and a strong lower body which allows him to not only plant and cut well but elevate for the football. He has big hands and isn't afraid to go up for the ball in traffic.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: His route-running could use some work as he rounds off his routes too much and isn't as sharp as he needs to be in and out of his cuts. He also needs to show he can make the tough catches as easily as he makes the simple ones, a trait of every good receiver.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE AT CAMP: Coxson's physical build is very impressive as he's a thick, strong receiver. He's also very strong and can't be muscled easily off the line. At worst he's a possession receiver who will move the chains, but with coaching he can be much more.
CONCLUSION: He's raw but very, very impressive physically and with his size and hands he can be a special receiver in college.

Baltimore (Md.) City College wide receiver Adrian Coxson is “Mr. Do Everything” for his team. Coxson plays wide receiver, cornerback, and returns punts and kickoffs.
“He is our big-play man,” City College Coach George Petrides said. “Once he gets the ball in his hands he makes things happen. He is also our shut-down corner. He is the guy we go to when we need a play. He is very elusive and he has great speed.”
The 6-foot-1 and 195-pound Coxson has been a varsity starter at wide receiver since his freshman season and a starter at cornerback the past two seasons. Coxson is also his team’s back-up quarterback. Coxson caught 34 passes for 821 yards during his junior season. He averaged 24 yards per reception with eight touchdowns. Coxson intercepted three passes. He averaged 23 yards per punt return with two touchdowns and 20 yards per kickoff return with a touchdown.
Coxson has approximately ten scholarship offers on the table including Penn State, Florida, Pitt, West Virginia, Maryland, Boston College and Connecticut.

Even with the new offers, I would assume that Coxson = PSU on March 27-28.

I believe Coxson's offer from Florida is VERBAL. It's the way the Gators keep kids sucked in.

I don't think he's going to drag this recruitment out, agreed he is PSU to lose. If it goes into his season I'd watch out for Florida, but who knows how much they'll push.

When an article only mentions one school, I don't put much stock in it.
That was clearly a hatchet job.
Coxson may have some interest in Florida, but I'm not worried.

Jelani did not make that decision by himself. IMO, Jenkins = PSU if he got his way.
Doesn't matter. I'm sure he's already reading the Gospel according to Tebow already.
