May or may not be his "Top 3" according to the article.
Oregon is not an option. Miami likely not either.
Florida looks to be the big dog in this recruitment. Guess Rutgers won't be getting Easley...(neither do we)...

Oregon - LOL. If I had a buck for every east coast kid that mentions Oregon and yet doesn't visit, I'd be a rich man. He is seriously considering Oregon like I'm in the running for the Presidential spot in Cyprus.

Easley still looking around -
7/7

The Nittany Lions received a huge boost to their future defensive line with the recent commitments of Evan Hailes from Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith and DaQuan Jones from Johnson City, N.Y. Hailes is an ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect while Jones is one of the top prospects in the state of New York.
Joe Paterno also has a commitment from Kyle Baublitz from York (Pa.) Central. Baublitz plays middle linebacker for Central, but will likely be a defensive end for the Nittany Lions.
Defensive lineman Dominique Easley from Staten Island (N.Y.) Curtis is another top New York prospect the Nittany Lions have been pursuing. The 6-foot-3 and 260-pound Easley led his team to a 21-2 record over the past two seasons.
Easley made 49 tackles including eight sacks during his sophomore season. He recovered two fumbles and returned one for a touchdown as Curtis went 13-0 and won the city championship. Easley made 51 tackles including 10 sacks during his junior season.

Kurelic’s Comment: There is still room left on the defensive line in this Penn State recruiting class, but predicting which way Easley will go is almost impossible at this point.
|
I know rivals or scout has something different, with Easley close to deciding, but I figured I'd post this anyway.

If Bill truly doesn't know where Easley is heading, he'd better stay out of the recruiting prediction business.

I don't know where Easley is headed...
RU? If so congrats, that'd be a big grab for Schiano's D (I wish our secondary played like his).
UF? Ugh..

Any word on Olaniyan? He seems to be our last shot at a Plan A DE in this class.

He was going to commit.
They very likely told him to wait and/or they were no longer interested (maybe a verbal offer).
PSU could be a player here, but he is interested in going down south for school. We shall see...

Scout.com: Easley Will Look Around
7/27
By Matt Alkire. Dominique tells Scout.com that he is going to explore his options after things didn't go as planned at Florida....would like to head down south if possible so Miami (FL) should be an option. Will also certainly look at PSU, UCLA, Georgia, and Michigan.

Sounds like the Gators gave Easley the same treatment the Trojans gave Jefferson. It'd be nice to land a highly ranked DE prospect in this class but if Easley has his heart set on playing down south, I hope he gets his wish.

Scout.com: Will Dominique Easley look North?
7/29
TheGoBlueWolverineStaff. Dominique will look at his options again after Florida told him during FNL that they need to see his transcripts and SAT score. Dominique says he is looking at Miami (FL), Oregon, PSU, Georgia, Michigan, and Florida.
