Personally, I believe Penn State is the team to beat for the following Rivals.com-rated four-star prospects: defensive lineman Kyle Baublitz Central York High School in York, Pa.

ESPN.com - Four DEs will pick schools this summer
Quote:
Defensive end Kyle Baublitz (York, Pa./Central) is another Keystone State star who wants to end the recruiting process early. Baublitz has close to two dozen scholarship offers. Even though he has yet to narrow down his list, Baublitz said he hopes to select a college before the end of the summer.
Included on Baublitz' list are Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia, Virginia, Rutgers, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Boston College, Maryland and Stanford.
Baublitz has already visited many of the schools he is considering. He plans to make a Midwest trip this summer with stops at Michigan State, Michigan, Illinois and Northwestern. Baublitz then hopes to select a college soon after that trip.

Class of 2010
Pennsylvania’s Top Seniors
By Chris Dokish
For those of you who follow our yearly rankings, you may have noticed that the Top 50 has become the Top 25. The reason for this is because of the lack of depth in the state. It's become more difficult to find 50 prospects yearly that are at a high-major level. For that reason, we have decided to just report on the very best the state has to offer.
While the depth is not what it used to be in a state that has seen its population plunge over the last few decades, there is still some excellent talent out there. You may notice, however, that there are really only two prospects who received attention from the high level programs around the country. This is a significant drop from past seasons.
Lastly, as we always try to do, we do our best to leave out "scout talk," hyperbole and biases. We try to speak as bluntly, and accurately, as possible, while still remembering that these are high school kids we're talking about.

6. Kyle Baublitz, Central York HS (Central York) DE- He terrorized opponents during his junior year as a 6'4" 255 pound middle linebacker. He shows good range and quickness, but will move to the line at the next level where his great size will make him an ideal strong side end. Some schools want him as a tight end, but he prefers the defensive line. Offers include Penn State, Pitt, West Virginia, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Boston College, Florida State and Clemson. Bottom line- Great natural size and toughness should help him become a good college player.

Scout.com: Everyone Even With Baublitz
6/10
By Matt Alkire. Temple and Syracuse are his latest offers...Kyle says he is definitely considering PSU, that PSU is a good school academically, he likes the atmosphere, and likes how DLine coach Larry Johnson coaches, but every school is in the mix. Kyle's father is a teacher so they are waiting for him to get done, but he'd like to see Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois, and Northwestern this summer.

The Nittany Lions have picked up commitment No. 8, and it comes from yet another top in-state prospect.

Welcome, Mr. Baublitz!
I guess when JoePa was told to clean up PA this year, he took it to mean recruiting...

Indeed, welcome Mr. Baublitz....wise decision.
Central York's Kyle Baublitz heading to PSU - The York Daily Record Some comments from Kyle's coach at Central York, Brad Livingston. Apparently Kyle will be the first player from Central to have earned/accepted a PSU football scholarship...groundbreaking stuff.

By Sean Fitz. Kyle visited PSU twice for practices this last month and has basically worked hard training all summer. He says PSU coach Larry Johnson called him the first day coaches were allowed, and that he will be at PSU this weekend for the Akron game. Kyle plans to enroll at PSU in January and talks about how he loaded up on classes since his freshman year, just in case he wanted to graduate early.

By Sean Fitz. Through eight games Kyle has 10 receptions (88 yards & 2 TDs) and 84 tackles (FR and blocked punt). Kyle thinks there has been clear improvement with the PSU defensive line and talks about it....discusses his decision to enroll early.
