NIKE hosts auditions in Pittsburgh -
Kurelic on the Nike camp at the UMPC in Pittsburgh this Saturday. Sounds like we'll all be able to get another opinion (unbiased I assume) with regard to '10 PA QB Paul Jones (PSU commit).

Thanks for being the exaggeration and PSU-pity party authority. Hull is an excellent, excellent player, but there's no way he's a top 5 player nationally.

Ball park scholie count estimate:
I'm guessing that around 14 players run out of eligibility, and 2 scholies are already used on greyshirts (Felder and Wallace) and another 2 taken up with commits by Jones and Hull.
So that leaves 10 scholies left before more kids leave for transfers, injury etc -- I'll guess 4 more will open up so 14 more kids in this class . . . and maybe more if Bowman, Royster and others head to the pros.

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Initial 2010 Rivals100 big on Texas talent - story leading into rivals 100 list
Rivals.com Prospect Rankings - rivals 100 list
Paul Jones - Football Recruiting - Paul Jones profile, 4* Rivals 100 prospect, #88 on the Rivals 100 list.
--------
Edit: No Mike Hull on the 100 list...that is the dumbest ish I've seen in a long time. Complete BS.

This list is purely for conversation. These kids haven't even played their senior year yet.
The only list that matters - if any - is the final Rivals 100/250 that comes out in January/February.
Hull and Miller could get on that list if they have productive years.

Interesting to see Sharrif Floyd in the Rivals 100. It seems like there's been a lot of drooling over other recruits but not him for some reason -- maybe the other kids are just more accessible to the press and so more reports whip up more excitement.

The Rivals "experts" conclude that Hull isn't big enough...kind of funny considering Nick Forbes is SHORTER & WEIGHS LESS, but he is on the Rivals 100. Every year there are Rivals 100 LBs that sign with schools like FSU, Miami (FL) and numerous others, and these kids are sometimes 5'10-5'11-6'-6'1, 195-205-215 pounds yet there are touted by Rivals.
Don't get me wrong, I love getting MD kids...but the competition Forbes faces, and the competition Hull faces while on a fairly crappy team (overall, Canon Mac is far from dominant, and nobody would ever mistake them as a powerhouse...they pretty much suck) can't even compare.
Not to mention Hull dealt with nagging injuries as a junior and still performed, performed well enough to be 1 of 4 Quad A first team Associated Press LBs statewide. We'll see what they think with Hull going into his SR. year after having not wrestled, he should be fresh and rejuvenated after having been beaten down by his workouts, wrestling, football, baseball, etc.

Hull is bigger than Jelani Jenkins who finished, IIRC, as Rivals' #3 prospect.
