You don't greyshirt when you have offers from BC, Duke, GT, Pitt, Syracuse, Temple, etc. OSU fans are notorious for suggesting a kid with multiple D1 offers should be a greyshirt candidate at OSU. Not likely to happen...why would a kid pay his own way for a year when he can go to a BCS school for free.

My understanding is that the player only has to pay for the fall quarter/semester and can be placed on scholarship in January after the season is over.

Exactly right 42 ... he pays one semester and then goes on the full ride or he can just enroll in January as a full-time scholarship kid. Again, hope this doesn't screw PSU up in getting Kerr, presuming he continues getting his grades. I just don't see four DLmen in this class, unless one or two greyshirt and count towards next year's larger class. Terry should be a greyshirt.
