From the UF site...liked everything about his Florida visit and the Florida program. Plans to visit again with his parents. Wants to visit Oklahoma next, followed by Penn State and Pitt.

I have never had a feeling this kid had any interest in PSU. I won't hold my breath of PSU getting in top three.

Out goes Rutgers, and in comes Florida.
My guess is he heads south. He seemed to love his visit. The only way he doesn't go there is because he wants to be closer to home.
Too bad. IMO, we need a quality DT (i.e. not a project) in this class.

I'd still bet on Maryland. They've led nearly the entire way. I've been following Florida's offer board at DT because of some shared targets, they've started to expand their search for DTs beyond their top-tier targets.

Scout.com: "It's Remarkable to Me…"

"Maryland, Pittsburgh and Florida get in touch with me the most," Isaac Holmes said. "They are the ones that seem to be trying to get to know me the most. They always ask about me and my family and it isn't just about football with them." Oklahoma, a program Holmes' coaches enthusiastically support, and Penn State are his other favorites. Holmes hopes to take two more trips before deciding.

Paterno looks to make up ground with star New Jersey lineman
Defensive lineman Ike Holmes (Hoboken, N.J.) has made an official visit to Florida, has another one scheduled to Maryland the weekend of Nov. 22 and says he will schedule a trip to Oklahoma.
The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Holmes is also considering Penn State, Tennessee, Pitt and Rutgers. Holmes has scholarship offers from all seven schools.
"I really can't say I have a favorite," Holmes said. "I have a strong top three. I'd say its Maryland, Rutgers and Pitt. Penn State and Florida are in my top five."
Holmes has visited Penn State multiple times. He attended the Ohio State at Penn State game last season and the Michigan at Penn State game this season.
"I loved it," Holmes said. "I loved the fan support. I felt like I was at home there. I speak to Penn State all the time."
Joe Paterno has some catching up to do, but he is making a definite effort to land one of the top defensive line prospects on the East Coast.
After making 83 tackles and 11 sacks his junior season, Holmes has helped Hoboken win five of seven games this season. He has 51 tackles and four sacks.

Quite honestly I've got to ask myself or question whether or not this is all a waste of time. Issac's interest doesn't appear to be all that legit, and our record with defensive lineman, the play of our defensive line and our defensive line coach speak for themselves. Hope we don't waste too much time here, I've never quite heard a recruit say he feels like he is at home at Penn State, only to then rattle of a top 3 of Pitt ( ), Maryland ( ) & Rutgers ( )...what is this world coming to?

Holmes claims he wants early PT.
He might not get it as a true freshman, but our depth chart empties out quite a bit in two years (2010).
IMO, we need to sign a DT in this class. It might be of the late offer/hidden gem variety at this point, though.

Have to wonder if it's dated info, the Wallace story seemed more timely.
