I'm also surprised at how low Kenney is ranked. He has good size and build with that track speed, I thought he'd be a high 4*. With him running track, I doubt he'll make it to camps for the powers that be to get a look at him for a ranking boost.

He is blazing fast, hes 6 1 and hes a decent weight. i thought for sure this kid would be in the rivals/scout 100 but thats fine with me let him fly under the radar to keep the competition low for his services...everybody else is missing out

Farrell reporting that Kenney is a heavy lean to PSU.
IMO - he could be the silent verbal.

Cory James (FOS) said there was "white smoke" coming from the recruiting world at PSU.
White smoke is released when a new pope is chosen. That was his analogy. It confused a lot of people, but he meant to imply that there could have been a verbal last weekend.

Who knows? Maybe the kid has a few more visits planned so wants to wait until after that to keep the other coaches from being desperate and pressuring him; maybe the PSU coaches want the kid to take a little time to be sure. I recall Maybin saying they told him to wait before announcing -- maybe they want to avoid situations where the kid gets overly enthusiastic on a visit and commits only to renege later.
Anyway, it's only 4/2, so there's no rush.

Kenney Recruiting Diary: Entry One -
4/16

Ever wonder what it’s like to be a standout high school football prospect? Ever wonder what it’s like to have the college football teams you watched on T.V. growing up offer you a chance to play for them? Wonder no more. From now until National Signing Day on Feb. 3, 2010, Nittany Network will routinely check in with State College High wide receiver and Nittany Lions target Alex Kenney to get a feel for the recruiting process through the eyes of a top prospect.

He says he's not close to verbaling in that article, and I believe him.

Or, he may not be close to announcing a decision. Two very different things.

So, if he said he believed in the tooth fairy or the Easter Bunny, would you believe him as well. Stop taking the words of a kid as the truth. Watch a kids actions. If you put two and two together on this one, ...

Please. I wasn't born yesterday. I've seen enough "silent verbals" get blown to bits to get worked up over something like that.
He's a nice player, great speed, mediocre hands, not much shake or elusiveness, which is reflected in his okay but not great offer list.
I seem to remember you saying

So I guess we'll wait to hear about Kenney's verbal to PSU at the B/W game, per your edict of not listening to what a kid says. A mildly retarded dolphin would know to believe Kenney over your prediction of a verbal.
