Plays in the top class (AAAA) in one of the best conferences in the state (Mid-Penn)...should be a titanic matchup when they visit Bishop McDevitt in a few weeks.

I'm not sure if they will deviate from their original schedule. They have Mt. Carmel and Southern Columbia scheduled.
Also, the game will be on Saturday (probably at 1 PM rather than McDevitt's traditional 10:30 AM start to appease the travelers) rather than the PCN Friday game slot.
Of course, the 1 PM start will aid me in attending!!! Woo hoo!!

ESPN.com - Class of 2010 might follow lead of Class of '09
Quote:
Kenney might follow the trend
Alex Kenney (State College, Pa.) is certainly a candidate to stay close to home to play his college football. Kenney, a top 10 prospect from the class of 2010 prospects in the Keystone State, has scholarship offers from Penn State, Virginia, Stanford, Illinois and Boston College. Kenney's father, Larry, is a professor at Penn State.
The 6-foot, 190-pound Kenney played wide receiver, running back and cornerback during his junior season. He could play any of those positions in college. Kenney caught 16 passes for 240 yards and rushed for 670 yards. Kenney intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown.
"I'm definitely interested in Penn State," Kenney said. "It's right in my backyard. It's a big football school and the education is definitely good." However Kenney says it is not a done deal that he will go to Penn State at this point. "I'm interested in the schools that are interested in me," Kenney said. "I'm looking at everyone."

Nittany Network (Bill Kurelic, ESPN affiliate): Homegrown Kenney in sights:
12/23

Alex Kenney is one of Pennsylvania’s top prospects in the class of 2010. And the Nittany Lions don’t have to go far to bear witness to his talents - he is right in their backyard. Put those two things together and you have a prospect definitely on Joe Paterno’s hit list.
The 6-foot and 190-pound Kenney played wide receiver, running back and cornerback during his junior season at State College High. Kenney had 16 receptions for 240 yards and rushed for 670 yards. He averaged 12.9 yards per carry. On defense, Kenney had 19 solo tackles and had two assists. He had two interceptions and returned one of them for a score. Kenney averaged 17.6 yards per punt return and 40.7 yards per kickoff return. He scored seven times on the ground, four times through the air and twice on returns.
“He is a good one,” State College coach Al Wolski said. “He gets more physical every year. He has good size. He could play wide receiver, running back or cornerback in college.” A number of schools have already begun to line up for Kenney’s services. He has scholarship offers from Penn State, Virginia, Stanford, Illinois and Boston College. Kenney’s father is a professor at Penn State.
“I’m definitely interested in Penn State,” Kenney said. “It’s right in my backyard. It’s a big football school and the education is definitely good. A lot of people here take Penn State for granted. But there are a lot of people that would die to go there.”
The Nittany Lions certainly have to be considered one of the favorites to land Kenney, if not the favorite. However, Kenney says it is not a done deal at this point. “I’m interested in the schools that are interested in me,” Kenney said. “I’m looking at everyone.” Kenney attended a number of Penn State games this season as well as the USC at Virginia game.

Wasn't this Kurelic associated with Bucknuts at some point?
I hope Kenney has legit interest. He is the playmaker - ala DWill - that we are missing in this class. He could easily play right away in 2010, IMO.

Scout.com: Six Offers for Alex Kenney
1/22
By Matt Alkire. Alex's latest offer is from Pittsburgh, which he received today. Alex now has offers from Pittsburgh, Illinois, Boston College, Penn State, Stanford and Virginia. Alex gives some thoughts on Penn State and talks about the pressure to attend Penn State. He doesn't know much of anything about Pittsburgh or Illinois, and needs to learn more. Talks glowingly about his BC visit over this past summer. Receiving lots of mail from Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Oregon.
