Sounds like Fortt had a good visit on Saturday, says PSU will definitely make the cut for an official visit.

"One more tidbit from the ND spring game. Stamford(CT) LB Khairi Fortt attended and a couple ND people I've spoken with seem to think they pulled even w/ Penn State after the visit. I'm hearing the exact opposite. I'm being told along w/ Silas Redd, Fortt is now seriously considering committing to PSU next weekend."

It would not surprise me one bit if Silas and Khairi commit at the same time this weekend.

A Fortt commitment would be HUGE
Having multiple committed players at the Nike Camp can't be a bad thing, either.

I'm sure Khairi and his old man are serious about academics ... that academic fraud thing at FSU should impress them.

Bill Kurelic: It's no surprise that the region's top linebackers were the showstoppers at Penn State - ESPN
Quote:
Cream of the crop
Khairi Fortt (Stamford, Conn.) passed the "look test" and then showed why he is one of the country's top prospects. Fortt moved with grace and power and was very difficult to block. He also showed great instincts, the ability to drop into coverage, and the speed to stay with running backs coming out of the backfield on pass routes. Fortt projects as a difference maker at the next level.

Starting to research the schools he is truly interested in...not hearing much from Ohio State and has an idea of what schools are going to get trimmed from the list...likely to commit in June or so.

Inside linebacker Khairi Fortt (Stamford, Conn.) was - without question - one of the stars of the NIKE Football Training Camp at Penn State on Saturday. The 6-foot-2 and 225-pound Fortt passed the ‘look test,’ then went out and showed on the field why he is considered one of the country’s elite linebacker prospects.
Fortt, who plays one of the two inside linebacker positions in his team’s 4-4 defense, made 118 tackles, forced five fumbles and intercepted two passes during his junior season.
College coaches from all over the country are showing interest in Fortt. He already has over a dozen scholarship offers including Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, California, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Boston College, Tennessee, Rutgers, Syracuse, Connecticut and Duke.

Fortt, meanwhile, has moved up his timetable dramatically. Originally, he was talking about announcing his choice at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January. Now, Fortt is talking about narrowing his list sometime in this month.
"That's because his head coach is sick and tired of being his secretary,' Stamford High coach Kevin Jones said.
"By the end of next week, we'll have it down to 10 schools,' Fortt, whose offer list includes USC, Florida State and Michigan, said.
Fortt said he plans to have his decision made before the start of the season, although he wants to make "at least two' official visits. He said he's been to Penn State five times.

Yep, I'm mocking a loudmouth idiot from a certain site with my comment. ========= if you get my drift.
