Made some minor changes.
I would expect things to pick up in the next week or so. Sounds like the summer could be very busy as far as recruiting goes...

I assume the red font is the updates. Very good idea, thanks 42.
These WR's are starting to worry me, we could be in trouble without a nice haul this year.
Mods, this should be pinned.

Everyone assumes there are just 25 scholies available, but by my count PSU started into this class with 18 available scholies from kids finishing their eligibility plus one for some clown already gone for playing with knives.
That would leave the other 6 spots coming from kids who don't come back for a 5th year, maybe Evans heading to the NFL early, and others who might hang it up due to injuries, grades or whatever. Anyway, 25 seems doable because there are a few kids from the class of '05 who could be done after 4, and it seems there is always some other attrition.

PSU is looking like its between 25-27. A few greyshirt candidates and the fact early entries don't count towards this years class, but last years, which was three short ...
I also can easily see six or more kids transfer or not come back for their fifth.

For what's it's worth, I saw a quote from JoePa recently where he said he expected this class to be 20-22 kids. I read that as the 19 (assuming that is correct) plus up to 3 leaving without a 5th year; he can plan that much, and he'll deal with transfers and other attrition when it comes up.
And sometimes the scholie can go to a walk-on -- maybe Hull gets one, or Soldner.

Yeah, I haven't updated this in a few days. I will do so during the weekend.
On that subject, it's looking like Brown, Felder, Kersey, Smith and Watkins at WR...unless Stokes rethinks his decision.
If so, I wouldn't be surprised if we miss out on Brown, as he will wait the longest to decide of that group.

Not worried about Brown. He knows PSU wants him and needs him. It has been told to him he is PSU's #1 target at WR. Smith, as in Abdul? I wouldn't count on him being in this class whatsoever.

He may have been referring to Devon Smith out of MD. People are scared about his size, particularly his weight but I was looking at Jordan Norwood's profile the other day and it said he came in as a 5'9-5'8.5 143 pound freshman. You can actually follow his height/weight through the years...which attribute an inch-inch 1/2 and nearly 30 pounds added. Don't know how accurate it is but if Jordan was 143 as a senior at State College High and has progressed to where he is today it isn't out of the question that Devon could as well. I don't think Jordan has really lost any of his quickness/shiftiness over the years.

I was referring to Devon, not Abdul, Smith.
And I guess we could substitute Jaleel Clark for Watkins.

You know what is starting to concern me? The complete disregard the coaching staff apparently has along with fans regarding Jaleel Clark...it is really pissing me off and I'm nearly ready to call it quits! There is practically no talk of trying to get him to be a part of this class.
Also concerning...Nate Cadogan, Curtis Dukes and/or Adam Gress NOT already being members of this '09 class.
