I know there was that article about taking visits a few months ago, but all of his comments so far have indicated that he's solid.

Every kid says he is solid until he decommitts maybe with exception of Tyree Watkins. Michael Shaw said he was solid to PSU and then two weeks later signs with Michigan. Lesson for you, don't trust the words of a recruit. Watch the actions or non actions. If the kid takes visits to schools other than Rutgers, he isn't solid. Schiano needs to pray to God everyday he doesn't visit PSU for a game. If so, he is probably gone.

It's not true that visits are a sign to start worrying. Schiano encourages players to take visits.
Yes, having a bad season is going to have an impact, but until there's something concrete, it's all speculation.

Don't buy that at all. Once a verbal starts visiting other schools, he is a soft verbal and its time to worry. I'm sure Schaino gets nervous when he finds out verbals are visiting other schools. I'm pretty sure he encourages recruits to take trips, but not his own verbals.

Malcolm Bunche looking to jump ship, or Malcolm Bunche HAS jumped ship?
It pisses me off that we never offered this kid...he would have been the perfect final piece of the '09 OL puzzle for Penn State. A big kid with road-grader potential but mobility, could play OG or OT, Delaware kid.

Not exactly. Look at the original article on Rivals and it's a lot more vague. Miami has always been involved there.

It might just be Farrell being Farrell, but he says Tajh Boyd could be coming back on the market.

Hypothetically speaking, this would not be good news for PSU. This would create a new school for Newsome's services.

I'm assuming that Penn State would not be in the running for Boyd's services...?

No. Farrell mentions Tennessee, Boston College and Oregon. I don't think we were ever under consideration, and in fact, don't think we ever offered.

Kind of what I figured, but thanks for the insight.
And what's with UT? If I were a recruit right now, I'd by shying away from the impending train wreck...

I didn't mean to imply that there was interest, but there should be.
BTW, I accidentally posted in the wrong thread, I moved the tangent to this one.

Don't get Tennessee interest. He ain't going to Oregon either. Wouldn't be shocked if VPI enters the equation.
