I'm not worried about the visit to Michigan.
Besides, he has already visited us unofficially and is returning for the Michigan game. He also has spent a lot of time on campus before the season. He also is very tight with Bani Gbadyu.
There are more reasons for Michigan to give up on Ankrah than there are reasons for us to worry about them, IMO.

They claim to be a package deal. One probably has Maryland (for reasons beyond my comprehension) ahead in Hawkins, while Ankrah prefers PSU. Both are tight with Gbadyu. Ankrah was up at PSU over the summer for a week. This is a Maryland v. PSU fight. Don't see anything close. Hawkins is tripping to Oregon just to see it. He isn't going there either.

I'm surprised UM is still recruiting Ankrah now that they've got Roh and LaLota, and having those 2 already seems like a reason Ankrah's interest in UM would diminish.

Not too surprising if they're using Ankrah to leverage Hawkins.

There's definitely room for another DE. Carr recruited zero DEs in the past two classes, so there's a major, major need. Plus, if UM gets enough DEs, they could move LaLota to OL.

Maybe they're recruiting another DE because they aren't 100% sure that the ones they have will stick...

The problem for you is Ankrah probably has Michigan fourth of fifth on his list. I don't think his recruiting continues after this weekend. Maybe Michigan should worry more about keeping Lalota than hoping for Ankrah.

From HokieHaven...is planning to set up official visits to Virginia Tech and Penn State. Has narrowed his list to Penn State, Michigan, Maryland, Clemson and Virginia Tech but is still considering a few other schools as well.

From the Nebraska site...Ankrah and teammate Terrence Stephens (still a Stanford commit) will visit Nebraska together this weekend.
