I dont know if this is against the rules or not, but Ankrah has a picture of the White Out on his facebook page. It dont mean anything, as prospects like to do that a lot, but I would not be suprised if he was a lock at this point.

From HokieHaven...visiting Maryland this week and wants to set-up something with VT and NC State as well. Plans to take some officials with Travis Hawkins and mentions Virginia Tech, Oregon and Penn State as possible destinations. Confirms he almost committed to PSU.

Someone is feeding this kid some BS.
My guess based on the taste of the BS, which has a lot of Old Bay, is Maryland BS.

Penn State has two DEs? Someone get this kid a list of Penn State's commitments...LOL. Someone is selling him something and he is definitely biting, maybe he should take notice of the DEs at Penn State this year and where their futures are.

Friedgen and crew are feeding this kid a load of crap - what else is new? Sort of like - Kenny Tate - we like you at WR. So he signs and then he is moved to a DB.

I have a feeling this could come back and bite Fridge on his big fat butt. This will surely get back to LJ Sr, so he'll have a chat with Ankrah to straighten things out, and then Ankrah will likely mention to Hawkins that they lied to him. Couple that with Tate as a DB, and UMD has a credibility problem.
So I hope they keep it up - could push Hawkins somewhere else . . . like Ankrah's favorite school.

Someone better inform the PSU coaching staff about those two DEs in the class.

Last week I mentioned that Gaithersburg (Md.) Quince Orchard defensive end Jason Ankrah wanted to commit to Penn State but that the Nittany Lions might have other fish to fry. As of this writing, Ankrah still hasn't talked with Penn State assistant Larry Johnson, and if PSU balks on taking his commitment, Michigan and Tennessee will get official visits and be the teams to beat. Ankrah has talked to coaches Rich Rodriguez of Michigan and Phillip Fulmer of Tennessee, but hasn't talked with Joe Paterno, another potential indication that Penn State has other defensive ends higher on its board.

Quince Orchard teammates and Maryland targets Travis Hawkins and Jason Ankrah spent last weekend at Penn State and will travel this weekend to Michigan. Ankrah, a defensive end, told Rivals.com that he was able to clear up some confusion with the PSU staff. “At first I thought they were slow on recruiting me, now I know they were just making sure on my grades and make sure school is first before football. I’d say right now Penn State is back at the top. Maybe when I go somewhere else I’ll fit in. I feel comfortable at Penn State. The people there make you feel like it’s at home. I like the coaches, they are cool.”
Hawkins, a cornerback, told Rivals.com that the Nittany Lions are still very much in the running for his services.

Maybe his grades aren't as bad as we thought.

The Wisconsin Badgers were not alone in hoping to capitalize on the recruiting front over the weekend. With Illinois in town, Rich Rodriguez hosted teammates Travis Hawkins and Jason Ankrah (Gaithersburg, Md./Quince Orchard) on official visits. The 6-4, 250-pound Ankrah is an outstanding defensive end prospect while the 5-10, 180-pound Hawkins is one of the top cornerback prospects on the East Coast.
"I loved it at Michigan," Ankrah said. "Even though they lost, everything else was amazing. The academics are great and the strength and conditioning program is one of the best in the country.
"I'll probably take three more official visits, Penn State, Virginia Tech, and one other one. I'm not sure who the other one will be. I wouldn't say I have a favorite. I haven't been to the other places yet."
