Bad. I have talked to the PSU guys at scout, and they said he was going to commit to PSU, but his family (mostly mom) wanted him to stay closer to home, now they figure he will probably be going to MSU, even though he just stated UM was even with MSU and PSU.

That sucks, I really wanted him. Family is the reason why we get a lot of recruits, I think mom needs some meatballs.

Funny you mention that.... I know someone who makes GREAT meatballs in the State College area.

Not sure what is going on here. Mom's never want to see their son's move too far away, but in the end Mom's almost always go with what their sons want to do. If Pannell really was set on PSU I think he still comes. If he had any doubt at all then he goes somewhere in Michigan.

Well, since I made that

earlier, I might as well say I will probably be proved wrong. I know some (including Cory) still think we get him, but the delay definitely bodes well for the in-state schools. Suffice it to say that things were looking good for PSU earlier on.

Losing Pannell hurts more from the perspective that we don't have too many Plan A options left at OT. We have a shot with Bennett, but we'll be fighting an uphill battle with Freeman and Painter.

Wow! After reading all the gloom and doom here I expected to see him wearing green in PSU's last game of the season for the next few years. I'm feeling better about PSU's OT position already!
