From the ASU site. Wheaton talks about his transfer to Chandler High School and says he expects big things this year. Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon State and Oregon are recruiting him the hardest, and Cal has also been showing more interest. He will decide after his season.

Big City, Spread Offense By Allen Wallace
National Recruiting Editor

"I love Colorado," Markus Wheaton said. "The school is great and the campus was real nice. It was very peaceful and it's a beautiful place. I really liked the facilities a lot. Plus, they really like me and I think their offense is great. They run the spread and I think I'd fit in real well there." The Buffs were the first school to offer Wheaton in March and are still recruiting him the hardest.

Football Recruiting News
Quote:
“I’ll visit Colorado next weekend,” Wheaton said. “I like Colorado, I like the weather it’s colder than Arizona. I want to get out of Arizona. I also like the Rocky Mountains.”
“I’ll probably visit Nebraska too,” Wheaton said. I checked Nebraska out on the Internet. I don’t know much about them until I get there. A couple of my teammates last year visited Nebraska and said it was nice.”
“I want to see if they (Nebraska) will let me play early. That’s what I’m looking for. Colorado told me I could play my freshman year.”
“Arizona State offered me but I want to leave state, I out to get out.” Wheaton added
“I might visit Colorado State,” Wheaton said. “They throw the ball a lot. I like that. Their offense is not like ours (Chandler), but wide receivers get the ball a lot. We run the spread at Chandler with one back set. Oregon actually runs the spread what we do.”
“I like UCLA,” Wheaton said. “I like the weather there. I’ve been to Los Angeles before but not there (UCLA Campus)” Wheaton added.
“Right now Oregon and Colorado State are recruiting me the hardest.”

ESPN - West Recruiting Blog
Quote:
Chandler (Ariz.) athlete Markus Wheaton will take his fourth official visit this weekend and also recently rescheduled an earlier visit for early January.
Wheaton is a talented two-way standout who could play receiver or corner in college but is being recruited strictly at receiver right now. He took visits to Colorado, Cal and Oregon and will head to the Northwest this weekend.
"I'm visiting Oregon State this weekend," Wheaton said. "I'm looking forward to it because they have been recruiting me for a long time and I like the coaching staff a lot there.
"I also moved my visit to UCLA and I'm now going there (Jan. 9). I was supposed to visit (Dec. 5) but the January weekend just worked out better for me."
Wheaton has had home visits with all of his favorites and it doesn't look like much has changed at the top of his leader board.
"I still like Oregon a lot," Wheaton said. "I have to take these last two visits and I'm going in with an open mind. They're all great schools but Oregon has been recruiting me the hardest and I've always liked the Ducks since my cousin Kenny played there."
