Tom Luginbill Works On His Latest Recruiting News...
Deer Creek quarterback Dax Dilbeck has been a standout for the Antlers since taking over as the starting signal-caller during his freshman year.
Now he ranks among the state's most underrated recruits.
At 6-1, 171 pounds, Dilbeck may switch to running back, receiver or safety in college. He has already received offers from Oregon State and Army and is receiving interest from Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech and Kansas.
"Just seeing the campus and talking with the coaches... that's one place I really liked a lot,” Dilbeck said of Oregon State.
The senior-to-be is open to playing any position in college but has been considered a quarterback prospect by Georgia Tech. Vandy and Oregon State have been looking at Dilbeck at the receiver position.
Dilbeck said he expects to see more time at multiple positions for Deer Creek this season. He'd like to make a decision before his senior year but also wants to "let things play out” before committing.
"I feel like when I find the right place I'll be comfortable with it,” said Dilbeck, who rushed for 1,235 yards and 17 touchdowns last season.
