The Sooners have made an offer to White's teammate, linebacker Rashod Favors. If the Sooners land Favors, it could give them some help with the 6-4, 200-pound White.
Linebacker Rashod Favors (Fort Worth, Texas/Dunbar) told ESPN affiliate Web site OUInsider.com, "They (Oklahoma) are still my No. 1. I have been in contact with the coaches as much as I possibly can. I have a real good relationship with Coach (Brent) Venables. We keep in touch."
Favors also listed some additional contenders, "The others schools are USC, Florida, Texas and LSU." However, those programs have not extended scholarship offers to Favors.
